Youth on Record's Block Party and Community Celebration will bring together close to 1000 community members for a day-long outdoor mini-festival. This free event is a Youth led and Youth designed event. 

  • Live music from Youth on Record students and local musicians 11am-5pm
  • 12pm - 315pm Education and Panels in the Poetry Kiva
    • 12pm - College of Arts & Media – Topic: Turn What You Love Into What You Do: Pathways to a Music & Entertainment Industry Education 
    • 2pm - How to Get Media to Pay Attention to Your Music
      • Speakers Include: Kyle Harris of Denver Westword, Bruce Trujillo of CPR, Nikki Swarn of The Drop, and Tennelle Swan of Lavish Publicity, LLC
    • 315pm - College of Arts & Media – Topic: Turn What You Love Into What You Do: Pathways to a Music & Entertainment Industry Education

    • At Rainbow Lightning we love to create interactive and collaborative environments for kids of all ages and their parents to connect and play with one another.
      By building community around new ideas and collaborative projects, Rainbow Lightning is designed to re-connect each individual with their inner child; reminding all who participate just how good it feels to let your true self shine!

  • DIY Merch area
  • Activities including sidewalk art, hula hooping, and more
  • Floyd's Barbershop will be onsite offering sweet haircuts for a small donation to Youth on Record!

All community neighbors, YOR supporters, school and philanthropic partners, and young people are encouraged to attend.
